Our first skate!

In case you've missed all the excitement on our Twitter & Facebook pages we are pleased to announce we have our first skate session.  It is being held at Llantrisant Leisure Centre on Monday 4th Jult from 6pm to 8pm.  You will need to bring

* Sense of Adventure
* skates
* protective gear
* £5
* Water or other tasty (non alcoholic) beverage 
* a like minded friend to share the derby bug!

There is no pressure at this stage, its just skating and getting any questions you have answered - hope to  see you there!  Any queries before the day just give us a shout on VRD@live.co.uk

We've had an amazing response since  we first announced our arrival on the derby scene! Rest assured we're doing all we can to find a training venue asap.  We're also planning a few meet and greet type events and maybe even a lil party!

Hi and welcome! Valley's Roller Dolls are the newest roller derby league to spring up in Wales chasing hot on the wheels of Tiger Bay Brawlers, Cardiff Roller collective, Swansea city Slayers and Mid Wales Roller Derby.

We have a huge love for roller derby and believe you will too, for those of you not 'in the know' Roller derby is a full contact, high-intensity competitive sport played on quad roller skates. It involves two teams of four blockers, known as the pack, skating around an oval track. While a point scorer from each team, known as the jammer, tries tries to fight their way through the pack. The jammers gain one point from every person on the opposition that they pass.

We are looking to recruit girls and guys over 18 to become skaters, referees and non-skating officals, as well as practice space and the all important sponsors, if this sounds like you then we'd love to hear from you! You can contact us via our facebook page or email us at VRD@live.co.uk
